Management
The management sub menu contains access to the panels that allow you to monitor the financial progress of your mall, manage your staff and set up promotions.
Three of the management panels, financial information, mall information and shopper information show various statistics over three different time periods; total time played, current year to date or current month to date. To switch between the time frames there are three buttons on each panel.

Total - This displays values since the start of the game.

Year - This displays values for the current year to date.
Month - This displays values for the current month to date.
There are other buttons that will alter the information the panels display and these are described in the following sections. Note that on any of the panels there is helpful roll over text for all of the buttons and icons that will appear if you hover your cursor over any point of interest.

The panel shows the outstanding loan amount followed by the interest percentage rate and the time left to repay the loan.

The right half of the pop up allows you to take out a new loan. The two values show the amount of the loan, the repayment time and interest rate. Use the '+' and '-' to set how much you wish to borrow and the time you wish to borrow over.

Confirm Loan - Once you have set the loan you require simply click the handshake icon and you will be given the loan.

Mall Information
This brings up the mall information panel which shows information and statistics relating to your mall. Statistics on the left are as follows.

How busy the mall is

Amount of crime in the mall
The centre of the panel contains a list of all eight store categories available within the mall, with a bar next to each one which shows the income, number of stores or number of visitors relative to the list of categories.

The three buttons along the top of the panel are used to determine what the relative store category bars represent.

Income - sets the bars to show the income of each store category.

Number - sets the bars to show number of stores in each category.
People - sets the bars to show the total number of people visiting stores in each category.

Along the bottom of the panel are three buttons which control the timeframe that the shopper statistics are shown over. So for example clicking the 'Year' button and the 'Income' button will cause the statistic bars to show how much money each category of stores has made in the year to date.

The right of the panel has five further statistics.

Staff Information
The staff panel is a lot more important than it may first appear. It is from here that all the staff are hired, but it is also where all technologies and new staff are researched.

Staff are crucial for the successful running of your mall. Maintenance staffs are required to keep your mall clean, repair items which may break down from time to time and tend to plants. Security staff help keep undesirables from your mall, such as punks and criminals who will steal, litter and vandalise your mall. Personnel staff are mainly management staff, who are employed to research many of the useful items and staff within the game.
The two icons at the top of the panel provide the following information.
Total staff employed
Total monthly cost of staff

Below these are buttons representing the three categories of staff.
Next to each of these buttons are two values. The top one is the number of staff hired in this category and the second is the monthly wage bill for this category.

Clicking on any one of these buttons will give a list of the current staff available within the category. The left half of the list shows which staff are available for hire. The number next to each one shows how many you currently employ. The right side shows the list of skills/technologies/staff that the selected member of staff may research.

Research
To research a skill associated with a member of staff, first click on the staff member in the left pane. The right pane then shows skills available for research. The cost of the research will be shown in the box next to the research button. Click to select the skill you wish to research and then click the research button. Research will take different lengths of time for different skills. A colored bar will fill up behind the skill being researched and once it is full the skill/technology will become available.

- If this is for a new member of staff then they will then appear for hire on the staff panel.

- If it is a store or item, then it will be made available in the appropriate build panel.

Hire
To hire a selected member of staff click on the hire staff button. You will be charged the amount listed above the button and your cursor will have the appropriate member of staff attached to it. You will see that each staff member shows an area of highlighted squares before it is placed. These squares represent the staff member's work or patrol zone. Generally speaking the better members of staff will have larger patrol zones.

Staff members in the personnel category are used mainly for research and management needs and do not perform direct actions in the game in the same way as say a janitor would. Instead any personnel staff that you hire will increase your mall rating while they are walking around the mall. Also personnel staff do not have patrol zones like the other staff, they are able to walk freely around the entire mall.

Initially there will only be one member of staff available for hire - the personnel assistant. Before any more members of staff are available for hire they must first be researched by the personnel assistant.

Staff Information Pop-up
Once a member of staff has been hired, you can call up an information panel on them at any time by clicking on them with the right mouse button. The panel displays the following information.

Duration of Employment

Number of Tasks Completed
Salary
Fire - Use this to dismiss the selected member of staff.

Relocate - This is used to order an employee to patrol a different area of the mall. When doing so you will have to place them in the mall in the same way you did when they were first hired.

This panel shows an extensive amount of information regarding the shoppers in your mall.

The four values across the top of the panel show the following.

Total number of shoppers that have entered the mall.
Total number of visits to stores.
Average amount spent by shoppers.
Total amount spent by shoppers.

The left half of the panel has a series of bars which represent the various wealth and travel demographics applicable to the shoppers as follows.

Well-off   Arrived by bus

The right half of the panel has a series of bars which represent the gender and age demographic groups of the shoppers.

Opinion of the Mall for each demographic shopper group.
Number of People in each demographic shopper group.
Total Amount Spent by each demographic shopper group.

Along the bottom of the panel are four buttons which control the timeframe that the shopper statistics are shown over. So for example clicking the Year button and the total amount spent button will set the statistic bars to show how much money each group of shoppers (men, women, rich, poor etc) have spent in your mall in the current year.
Finally this value at the bottom left shows is the total number of shoppers currently in your mall.
Shopper Pop-up
Similar in usage to the staff pop up. If you right click on a shopper you will get a pop up panel which shows various details about the shopper.

Centrally at the top of the panel is a round icon showing which store / service / feature in the mall they are currently looking for.

Down the left of the panel are icons showing the gender/age of the shopper, how they arrived at the mall and how wealthy they are.

Down the right of the panel are three icons which represent the shoppers mood, based on their level of hunger, level of boredom and level of happiness.

Number of Purchases - This shows the number of purchases the shopper has made within your mall.

The value at the bottom of the panel shows the amount of money the shopper has remaining.

Promotions Panel
This button brings up the promotions panel. This panel is used to set up all forms of mall promotion, press, billboard, TV and in mall campaigns to help attract more customers to your mall. Note that this panel will not function until the various promotions have been researched in the staff panel and you must also have an atrium for in store promotions.

The panel has a calendar that shows which promotions are scheduled to run on any given month. Each month has four spaces which may be filled by the various promotions. The large space shows which Atrium promotion is running and the three smaller spaces show whether or not there is a press, billboard or TV campaign running that month.

Down the left side of the panel are the four promotion types that can be placed.

Add Type of Promotion Delete
Press Advertising
Billboard Advertising
TV Advertising
Mal Promotions

For the first three promotion types, simply click on the left hand button which will turn your cursor into a placement icon. Place this over a month and click to arrange for the promotion to take place that month. The cost of each promotion will be shown in the small black box next to the icon.

If you wish to remove a promotion from a particular month click on the appropriate promotion cancel icon and then click on the month you wish to remove that promotion from.

Atrium Promotions
The Atrium Promotions have a special panel below the button which allows you to select from a variety of promotions. Use the up and down arrows to select the atrium promotion you desire, then as with the previous promotions simply click the promotion button and place the icon on the desired month. Atrium promotions will then appear in your mall on your chosen month. Note that you cannot place atrium promotions if you have no atriums, or have not yet researched the relevant promotion level.
