 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- The following are the minimum system requirements to
launch and play "Le Mans 24 Hours".

Processor:		Pentium II 333MHz
			(or equivalent) or higher
RAM:			64 MB
Video card:		Microsoft Direct X compliant
			3D Accelerator card with 
			16 MB VRAM or higher
Sound Card:		Microsoft Direct X sound
			card compatible 
CD ROM:			CD ROM reading Quad speed (4x)
Peripherals:		Microsoft Direct X Compatible
			Keyboard and Mouse 
Operating system:	Windows 98, Windows ME or higher
Hard disk:		680 MB (approx.) free space
			required to install 
DirectX:		Version 8.1 (included on the CD)

 INSTALLATION
------------------------------------------------------

The game's installation program should start
automatically when you insert the CD into the CD
Drive. If it does not, you can:

(a) Open the CD directory by double clicking on the
CD icon, and then double-click on the "setup.exe" 
icon. 

OR

(b) You can also click on the Windows START-button
(lower left corner of the screen), select "Run..." 
and type "X:\Setup", replacing "X" with the ID
letter of your CD drive.


 Uninstalling 
------------------------------------------------------

To UNINSTALL the game, insert the CD to launch the
game. Click on the Install/Uninstall icon and choose
'Uninstall game'. All previously installed components
of the game will be removed. To uninstall the game
you can also click on "Add/Remove programs" in
the Control Panel.


 Re-installing the game.
------------------------------------------------------

To RE-INSTALL the game, if you have accidentally
deleted some files or encountered problems during
installation, follow the same procedure as
Uninstalling and select 'Reinstall game'

If you want to install one component (DirectX or
Acrobat, etc...), insert the CD to launch the game.
Select the 'Install Extras' button then select the
appropriate button for 'Install DirectX' etc.

Default Menu operation:

Keyboard
--------
ESC:		Cancel an option or move back a menu.	
Enter:		Select an option.
Arrow keys:	Use these to move between options.

Controller/Joystick
-------------------
Button 2:	Cancel an option or move back a menu.
Button 1:	Select an option.
X Axis:		Change options.
Y Axis:		Move up and down between options.

Mouse
-----
Left Button:	Select an option.
Move Mouse:	To place pointer over an option.

 CONTROL CONFIGURATION
------------------------------------------------------

You can assign any button, key or action to play
Le Mans in both Single Player and Multiplayer.

To change your options, you must go to
OPTIONS -> CONTROLLER.

You can change your race controls and the operation
controls for the Pit Stop and Pause Menus.

Highlight the control you want to change and press
Enter (for controller/joystick press button 1).

Now select the new option button, key, etc. and
it will be recorded.

Depending of the wheel you are using, if during
the mapping of axis, acceleration and brake does
not work (no response from the pedals), you should
go in the control panel of your controller to
activate or deactivate the option to "combine" or 
"separate" pedals.

If you want to modify the controller/joystick
functionality, then select the "ADVANCED SETTINGS"
at the bottom of the menu.

The options available are:

FEEDBACK:	Affects the amount of
		Force Feedback vibration.

CONTROL:	This switches between the control
		settings assigned to STEERING,
		BRAKING and ACCELERATION.

ASSIST:		This adjusts your steering based
		on game conditions. For example,
		if you are travelling at high
		speed, it will adjust the steering
		to be minute movements in order
		to perform greater turning circles.
		Effectively so you won't lose control.

DEAD ZONE:	Sets a position of how far the
		controller will be moved before it
		takes effect.

SCALE:		Affects the distance the wheels can
		turn. The more you reduce this value,
		the less the wheels will turn before
		they reach full lock.

 KNOWN ISSUES
------------------------------------------------------

In general, if you encounter any problems, exit the
game and restart your computer. Also please make sure
that you have the latest version of driver files for
your video and sound card.

 UPDATING YOUR DRIVERS
------------------------------------------------------

If you're having any graphical problems with the
game - before contacting consumer support - please
make sure that you have the latest version of the
driver file for your video card.
  
To check this, RIGHT-CLICK on 'My Computer' on the
Desktop and select 'Properties'.  Select the
'Device Manager' tab and click on the little plus
sign before 'Display Adapters'.  You will now see 
the name of your video card.  Select it and click
on the 'Properties' button, then select the 'Driver' 
tab, and finally click on the 'Update Driver' button.

You may need to visit the web site of your video
card manufacturer to find and download the most
recent version for your video card. This is a normal
part of maintenance of your home PC and it is
recommended you do it 2-4 times per year.
