                           Release Notes
                          August 17, 2003

Introduction:
=============
Congratulations on your purchase of Activision Anthology: Remix Edition. Packed in this game are 76 fun filled Atari(tm) 2600 titles. Enjoy!

This readme covers a number of important aspects of Activision Anthology: Remix Edition. Please refer to the user's guide for additional information.

Features:
=========
Activision Anthology: Remix Edition has all of the great features of original Activision Anthology plus a whole lot more. Included are:

- Same critically acclaimed main menu interface;

- A total of 76 games including many from the IMagic catalog and "Homebrews";

- Microsoft Direct Input support of countless input controllers;

- Configurable radio to allow customized song selection.

Installation:
=============
Activision Anthology: Remix Edition requires DirectX 8.1 or greater. DirectX is provided on the installation disk.

Please insert the CDROM and start the installation.

Installs the entire game.

Reinstall if problems.

You may need to install the video codec on some computers. To do so, explore the CD and run the "On2VP3VideoSetup.exe" program

Controllers:
============
Activision Anthology: Remix Edition supports one or two players. Please note that multiplayer games are handled differently depending on the game. Some games require that a second controller is configured in the start-up application while others assume that the players are sharing a single controller. Please refer to the games' manuals for further details.

Activision Anthology: Remix Edition provides an interface in the start-up application that allows the players to assign different controllers to player-one or to player-two. The system will detect any and all controllers that are DirectInput compatible. Please note that this must be done priorto starting the game. By default, the keyboard and mouse work as the player-one controller.

The Radio:
==========
The radio in Activision Anthology: Remix Edition is designed to allow custom configuration of music. While music is provided players can configure their own Playlists which can consist of an assortment of songs in various formats.

The Radio has seven different radio stations. Each of these stations uses a unique Playlist (*.pls) file. A radio station is configured from the startup application by selection RADIO OPTIONS. To select a playlist for a station, select the radio station, press the Browse button, select a playlist files, then press ok.

=================

This program has been tested extensively to make sure it will operate correctly for all users. If you run into problems with system crashes, error messages or other incorrect behavior, we suggest you first try one of the following:

1) Upgrade your computer's sound card drivers. This can be done by identifying the type of sound card your computer is using and finding the manufacturer's web site.

2) Upgrade your computer's video card drivers. This can be done by identifying the type of video card your computer is using and finding the manufacturer's web site.

3) Upgrade DirectX, which is a Microsoft component that includes special drivers for video cards and sounds cards for virtually every manufacturer. This program requires DirectX 8.1 or later, the installer for which is included on the program CD in the "DIRECTX" folder.

It is a very large download, but updating DirectX to the very latest version often solves nearly all system problems that are encountered with MumboJumbo games. The most recent download location for DirectX is:

http://www.microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads/default.asp
