It is interesting that the micro pollen we discovered down south is highly reactive to human blood, damaging the nervous system and finally causing the victim to choke to death. The pollen comes from a variant of the Upas tree, the traditional source of poison for the blow darts of Bornean hunters. But this is the first time we've come across something this potent in an airborne form. It is unfortunate that Jack died, but if we can extract and reproduce the poison, I am sure someone will be very interested in it.

It is clear that the low grade Hazmat suits do not offer enough protection from the micro pollen poison. We will need to find a way through. I just hope we can reach the Blood Orchids in time so we can all go home. What I'd give for a hot shower...
