SUBWAY SCRAMBLE V1.0 README

Welcome to SUBWAY SCRAMBLE, the action-puzzle simulation that takes you on a rapid transit romp through the epic subway systems of New York, London, Paris, Moscow and Seoul.

In a worldwide wreck of snarled subways and mangled metros its up to you to make sure that each subway system unsnarls, and that all the passengers make it back to their proper destinations!

But it wont be easy! Multiple train cars, complex overlapping railway lines and dozens of unique train networks filled with color-coded destinations all make Subway Scramble a unique and mesmerizing challenge.

CONTROLS
Your trains move through each levels track system, stopping at each station, picking up and dropping off passengers. Your goal as train traffic manager is to pick-up and drop-off passengers at their matching color station. To do this, you will need to do the following:
-- Click on a stopped train to start it again. The end of the train you click determines the direction the train will move.
-- Click on a track switch to toggle between different track connections, controlling the trains flow through the network.
-- Click on a station to toggle it between Red Light (trains stop at the station) and Green Light (trains dont stop at the station).

TRAINS & STATIONS
The trains and platforms are divided into 3 segments and the passengers waiting at a station line up within the platform segments. When a train stops at one of the colored station platforms, all of the matching passengers on the train will depart, scoring you points. Then, any passengers waiting on the platform will move forward to fill any empty segments of the train. Each platform will slowly fill up with more passengers. If any stations queue becomes totally filled with passengers, you will lose the level.

SCORING
Whenever a train drops off more than one passenger at a time, the player earns a special bonus and automatically clears some queued passengers from the station.

-- Single Passenger: Dropping off 1 passenger scores 10 points
-- Double Bonus: Dropping off 2 passengers at once scores 20 points for the passengers dropped off and clears up to 3 waiting passengers from the station. The cleared passengers score 30 points each.
-- Triple Bonus: Dropping off 3 passengers at once scores 30 points for the passengers dropped off and clears all the waiting passengers from the station. The cleared passengers score 30 points each.

CRASHES
Trains can crash 2 ways:

-- 2 moving trains crash into one another; but be aware as this counts as 2 crashes
-- A train hits an unconnected track section, because a switch is set incorrectly

Whenever a crash occurs all trains involved in the crash stop and must be restarted. Each level has a crash limit; when you reach this limit, you lose the level.

AROUND THE WORLD MODE
In Around the World mode, you will travel around the globe, solving levels and earning subway tokens used to unlock other cities and more advanced levels.

Each Around the World level has a passenger quota. The stations start out empty and slowly begin to fill up with passengers. You complete the level by delivering the goal number of passengers before: (1) any of the stations fill up; or (2) you reach the crash limit.

You earn subway tokens in different ways:

-- Level Token: Earned when the level is completed
-- Expert Token: Earned when the player achieves a target score that varies per level
-- Safety Token: Earned when the player completes the level with no crashes

You can re-visit any unlocked level to try to earn a token you have not earned yet or to improve on your score. You can achieve a top high score in Around the World mode if the sum of your level scores is one of the top ten highest.

RUSH HOUR MODE
In Rush Hour mode, you need to direct the endless crunch of rush hour train traffic.

In this mode, stations begin filled with passengers and no new passengers arrive over the course of the level. There is a timer counting down, and you must deliver all of the passengers to their desired stations before time runs out in order to complete the level.

There are 5 different tracks in Rush Hour mode: 1 for each day of the week, Monday through Friday. When you complete a level, you proceed to the next day. When you complete the Friday level, you start back on the Monday level, but with a lower time limit.

POWER-UPS
Subway Scramble contains special power-up items to help you get your passengers home safely. Power-ups appear as floating icons over the train tracks and only appear for short periods. Power-ups include:

-- Extra Points you will receive extra points added to your score
-- Speed Up for a limited amount of time, this train will travel more quickly
-- Color Change all passengers on the train are turned into this color
-- Time (Rush Hour only) additional time is added to the level clock
-- City Power-ups each city in Around the World mode has a unique type of power-up to earn extra points
