There has been an accident in the city power grid, so the citizens are left without power. You have to restore it in order to let the city live its normal life. You have two batteries. The right one is a reserve battery that powers the city in emergency situations. You can see how much charge is left by looking at the indicator. If you run out of power, you will lose. The second battery, on the left, is charged by your actions. Once you charge it completely, the electrician will swap it with the reserve one and you will proceed to the next level.
Right in the center of the playing field, there is glass, filled with chips and connected by pieces of electricity conductor. You can rotate these chips by mouse-clicking them. Your goal is to connect the pieces of wire into a closed electrical circuit. Once you do this, these chips will explode, freeing some space. In addition, your battery will be charged. And you will get points too. The more chips you use and the more electrode contacts on the left and right sides of the glass are connected, the more charge your battery will get. When you make intricate circuits, you will be awarded with different bonuses. To pick them up, you have to include the chips with bonuses in your circuits.
There are six game modes.
TIME TRIAL - The glass is completely filled with the chips. Try to include as many electrodes on the left and the right sides as you can to produce the maximum number of closed circuits. This way the left battery will get more charge and you will get more points and additional bonuses. In order to complete the level, you have to completely charge the left battery, i.e. to get a certain amount of points (the counter that shows this data is located to the left of the glass). And you have to do this before the right battery runs out of power (watch the indicator closely)! Special High voltage bonus will let you charge up the right battery, thus giving you some extra time.
ACTION - The glass is not filled completely. Instead, new chips keep falling down with the speed that varies depending on what level you are on. You can both rotate and drag the chips (left-right) with your mouse. Try to include as many contact electrodes on both sides of the playing field in your circuits in order to produce greater number of lightnings. This way, the left battery will get more charge and you will get more points as well as additional bonuses. In order to finish a level, you have to completely charge up the left battery, i.e. to get a certain number of points. Don't let the "glass" overflow with chips. If you get a stack of eight chips or more, you will hear a sound signal and fumes of black smoke. This means you have seven seconds to fix the situation or you will lose.
STRATEGY - In this mode, the batteries dont get swapped. Instead, they are both charged when you get High voltage bonus. Each time you complete the circuit, the batteries lose some charge. The counter that shows how many charges you have left is located to the left of the glass. In order to get bonuses, try to include as many electrodes on both sides of the glass. Keep in mind that the bonus wont be hanging there forever it will disappear after you make three new circuits. Dont hurry, though, you have all the time you need to make up your mind.
WIRE - The chips in this mode are really small, but there are lots of them. Plus, the new ones keep falling down with increasing speed as you progress from level to level. Connect the right side with the left side and dont let the chips overfill the glass. If you build up 15 rows, you will hear a sound alarm and see black fumes. This means you have 7 seconds to fix the problem or you will lose. To proceed to the new level you have to build a certain number of circuits.
DOUBLE WIRE - This game mode is just like WIRE with one exception you get two pieces of conducting material to each chip.
FIGHTING - This is an offshoot of the WIRE mode. In this mode, each time a new chip falls down, the chips located beneath rotate, so the player has to periodically check the circuit and restore broken parts.
