[HLP.REF.04] Double jump

Double jump is an acrobatic flip done in mid-air to get

some extra lift. To double jump, press
again when already airborne. There are three essential
ways to exploit this move.

[High jump]

High jump is the basic form of double jump. Jump as
<i infocomp/common_actjump 222 1
high as you can by holding down. Then

press again at the peak of your jump to
reach the heights.

[Long jump]

Long jump is an extension of running jump. Start by
doing a running jump. Then, as you fall to about the
level of the platform you are trying to reach, perform
the double jump flip. As double jump transfers all
movement into upwards momentum, it means later you
do the double jump, farther you'll get - and vice versa.

[Bailout]

Bailout isn't technically a 'double jump'. If you fall of a
platform or a ledge you really want to stay on, quickly
perform a double jump flip; You just might get enough
lift to reach the platform you fell from.

[In combat]

Double jump is also handy in combat situations. If you
notice that you're about to land on a projectile,
explosive drone or a mine, you can double jump to gain
some extra air time and/or momentum to get out of
the harm's way.
