On the map you'll notice there are star icons appearing and disappearing as time goes by. Each of these represents a venue that is interested in booking you. To book a concert, click on one of these stars. On the screen that appears, you can do the following things before proposing your deal to the venue owner.

Date - If your band's ROCK rating is high enough, the venue owner may be more flexible about the date of the show. If so, you can pick the date that works for you by using the nearby arrow buttons to scroll.

Your Cut - If you're not content with the venue owner's preferred standard cut, you could try asking for more. Adjust your offer using the nearby arrow buttons, and when you click 'Book' you'll present your offer to the venue owner. The higher your offer the more likely he is to reject it. Be careful, if your offer is too high and he refuses, you'll make him angry and less likely to accept other offers from you.

Promotions - Here you'll see a list of promotions to buy for the current concert. If you'd like to pay a little money for advertising in hopes of a better turnout, then check one or more. More information can be found on the Promotions page.

Song List - Choose the songs you wish to perform from the list. You'll need to choose five and only five, so make sure they're highly rated, well practiced, and fresh.

After your show proposal is accepted, you'll be booked and the location will be added to your tour path. Once the day of the show comes around, you'll perform and get to see your financial results and review. In the review you'll notice some verbal comments that will give you hints on how to improve for your next show. You'll (hopefully) earn some new fans and some cash.
Major shows work almost the same, but will be at bigger venues and can be watched live. Read more on the Major Shows page.
