Tournament Lobby
In the Tournaments Lobby, you can browse and join the available tournaments or create and host your own tournament.
At any given time, you can participate in 1 tournament. Between rounds of a tournament, you can still play in matchups.
To filter out some tournaments, click FILTER. In the pop-up, select filters to display the tournaments that interest you. To apply the filter, click OK. To display all tournaments, click Show All.
To Join or Play a tournament:
Some tournaments have entry fees. As soon as you join or start playing a tournament, the entry fee is deducted from the total tokens in your wallet.
Tournaments that are beginning immediately have a Play Now link in the Status column. Tournaments that have not started yet, have Future displayed in the status column.
To immediately start playing in a tournament, click the Play Now button/link in the Status column for that selected tournament. You can also click the Play Now button located on the selected tournament tab.
You can join a tournament that has not started yet by clicking the Join Now button on the selected tournament tab.
If the tournament is private, you must enter the tournament password when prompted.
Unranked Tournament Games
All Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 tournaments are unranked games and will not impact member ratings.
Tournament Status
The status column lists the current status for active tournaments. Completed tournaments are moved to the Tournament History list.
You can immediately start playing a tournament during round 1. During round 1, tournaments will have a Play Now button/link displayed in the status column. During round 1, a tournament is in the Open state. You must finish each round before the end date/time listed for that round. If a round is not completed within the scheduled time frame, you will be removed from the tournament and will be listed as Did Not Finish (DNF).
Tournaments that have started round 2 will be listed as Closed. You cannot join a closed tournament.
Tournaments that have not yet started will have Future listed in the status column. While you can join these future tournaments at any time, you can only start playing once round 1 has started. Join a future tournament by clicking the Join button on the selected tournament tab. After round 1 has started, the join button is replaced with a Play Now button. The tournament that you are currently playing will also have a Future status code after finishing a round and before the next round starts (the Play Now button, on the My Tournament tab, will be disabled between rounds).
Tournament Cut
The host of the tournament has the option to specify a Cut Limit after a selected round. There are three Cut options: No Cut, Top 50% scores + ties, and Top 60 or within 10 of leader.
Entry Fee and Total Purse
Some tournaments have entry fees. As soon as you join a tournament, the entry fee is deducted from the total tokens in your wallet. All the entry fees for a tournament make up the total purse that is then distributed to the top players. The payout algorithm is similar to that used on the PGA Tour.
The entry fee will be displayed while round 1 is still open. This is the amount of EASO tokens that the member must have to play in the tournament. As soon as you join or start playing a tournament, the entry fee is deducted from the total tokens in your wallet.
Total purse will be displayed after round one has completed.
Control Method and Difficulty Level
To help ensure an even playing field, the tournament host can specify that all players use a specified control method and difficulty level while playing the tournament rounds. If the host specifies a Trueswing control method and you do not normally use Trueswing, then the system will ask if you would prefer to use Horizontal or Vertical Trueswing while playing the selected game.
If the host does not want to specify an even playing field but wants to open the tournament to all players using any Control Method or Difficulty Level, then they will specify ALL for these tournament options.
Private Tournaments
Some tournaments are private and prompt you to enter a password. If you do not know the password you may exchange information with the host using the SEND MESSAGE command available by clicking on the arrow next to their name.
User Created Custom Courses
While EASO cannot support the transfer of user-created custom courses through EASO, it is possible to play user-created custom courses in tournaments. Members will be required to have a copy of the custom course on his or her local machine before joining a custom course tournament. If you do not have the required custom course specified for a tournament, then NA will be displayed in the course name column.
Tournament Details and Standings
At the bottom of the screen, you can use the two tabs to review the tournament that you have selected from the list or that you are currently playing.
To review the tournament you have selected from the list, click the Selected Tournament tab.
To review the tournament that you are playing, click the My Tournament tab.
Additional tournament details and standings can be displayed by clicking the Details and Standings button on the desired tab.
Leaving a Tournament
You are able to leave a tournament at any time by clicking the Leave button on the My Tournament tab. You will be marked with a Did Not Finish (DNF) in the tournament standings. You do not get your entry fee back when you leave a tournament. Tournaments must have at least two players to get past round one. A tournament will be terminated if all the players leave or do not finish the tournament.
