Matchup Lobby

The Matchup service is a quick and intuitive way of finding an opponent to play in an online game. In the Matchup Lobby you will see all the current matchup categories presented as tabs across the top of the screen. On each tab, there is a drop down list for all rooms in that matchup category. For each room there is a list of matchups games.

Instant Matchup

Instant Matchup will find your opponent for you by comparing your Rating versus the Ratings of other occupants of the current room. The service will find the closest match available and automatically join you to that game.

EASO can attempt to find a matchup game run by a player whose ability, level, and ranking most closely match yours.

To let EASO try to find a fair match for you based on your ability, click INSTANT MATCH.

To create your own matchup, click CREATE MATCHUP.

Finding a Matchup Game:

1. Select an individual lobby category by clicking on any of the tabs labeled "Rookie, Minors, Pro, All Star, Veteran, Legend." You may enter any of these lobbies regardless of your personal Level.

2. Select a room on the selected tab by using the drop-down list. The numbers listed next to the rooms indicate the number of members currently in that room.

3. Find an open matchup you wish to play by looking at the matchup parameters displayed in the list.

4. To join a matchup game, locate an open matchup in the scrolling list. An open matchup will have PLAY NOW button displayed where an Opponent would normally be displayed. Closed games will have a HOST and an OPPONENT displayed. If the matchup is private (indicated by the closed lock), you must enter the password when prompted.

Private Matchups

Some matchups are private and prompt you to enter a password. If you do not know the password you may chat with the host using the SEND MESSAGE command available by clicking on the arrow next to their name. Or you may chat with them using the chat mechanism at the bottom of the screen. Use the Chat's Whisper feature when exchanging passwords.

Room Chat

At the bottom of the Matchup Lobby, you can chat with other members in the same room to scare up a game.

To chat with everyone in the room, enter your text message in the space provided. Then, press enter or click SEND.

Chat Whisper

When Whisper is selected, only the selected member from the room occupants' list will see the chat messages that you enter.

Whisper should be used when exchanging passwords for private matchups.
