Raise agriculturists' salary
Landlords who owned large farms in the 17th and 18th centuries
often hired experienced specialists - agriculturists - to organize
labour in the fields. In their everyday work, agriculturists made
use of science and practical farming experience from various regions
in order to improve harvesting. Quite often landowners sent their
agriculturists to academies and paid for their education, knowing
that they would benefit from their knowledge.
