Rzecpospolita (Poland)
Poland was once a decentralized state led by a weak monarchic
power. The central power was subdued in favour of tycoons and
nobility. The Seym performed the actual control of the state. The
army comprised the Crown and Lithuanian Corps. Constant resource
shortage was a typical feature of the army, which mainly consisted
of a Polish division (hussars, armoured and light cavalry) and a
German division of cavalry and infantry equipped by western European
standards. The Hetman was in command of the army.
