Installation And Booting

To install the game, simply run the downloaded executable and follow the onscreen instructions. (For Steam users, the game will automatically install after purchase of the game.)
To run the game, double-click on the "Chantelise" executable file in the folder you installed the game in (typically CE Demo for the demo version and Chantelise for the full version). Steam users may run the game from the Steam browser.

Customizing The Game

You may customize the game by double-clicking on the "custom.exe" executable in the Chantelise directory. This will open the settings menu.
カスタム
Screen Mode Allows you to alternate between fullscreen and windowed mode.
FPS Limit Allows you to alter the maximum speed at which the game attempts to render graphics. Setting this lower will result in somewhat less smooth animation overall (especially at 20 FPS), but it can greatly assist less capable machines, such as netbooks, in achieving smooth gameplay.
Screen Resolution Allows you to choose a preferred screen resolution.
Show FPS Counter Allows you to enable or disable a constant display of the frames-per-second the game is rendering.
Graphics Settings The various graphics settings allow you disable certain effects if you wish to improve performance on lower-end machines; these options include disabling translucent fog, disabling mipmapping of distant textures, disabling full-screen effects and the like. If you are getting poor performance, you can disable these effects to try and improve performance.
Control Configuration These options allow you to alter the configuration of various input devices for the game; select either "keyboard" or "gamepad" to begin configuring the device in question. Note that altering keyboard keybinds can render in-game tutorials incorrect... but then, if you're this far along, presumably you don't need them!

Uninstalling

Simply delete the Chantelise installation folder outright; the game does not create any registry hooks on installation and may be deleted, moved or copied at will. (Steam users may uninstall from the Steam browser by right-clicking the name of the game in the Library window.)
